PERMISSION TO EXCEED UNITS
If your class starts before the official semester (e.g., your class begins on August 12, but the semester starts August 26), please include this detail in your request.
- Summer 2024: Submit the exceed units form starting April 22, 2024.
- Fall 2024: Submit the form starting May 13, 2024.
- Spring 2025: Submit the form starting December 5, 2024.

Permission to Exceed Units FormAPPLICATION TO WALK IN GRADUATION CEREMONY
Time-frame: April 1, 2024 – May 10, 2024
To apply to walk in the graduation ceremony with coursework remaining:
- Complete all sections of the application (incomplete forms will not be reviewed).
- Submit the completed form yourself; applications submitted by others will not be accepted.
- You must be within two classes of completing your degree or certificate and enrolled in those classes for the summer term.
Decisions will be based on the information you provide. You’ll receive the outcome through your Insite email or with the returned form.
Application to Walk in Graduation CeremonyMissed Two Counseling Appointments
If you missed two or more counseling appointments in a term, you’ll need to email an explanation before scheduling another appointment.
Send your email to cwoodson@dvc.edu with the following details:
- Subject: Missed Two Appointments
- Full Name
- Student ID
- Term (Spring, Summer, Fall)
- Comment: Briefly explain why you missed two appointments and how you’ll ensure attendance in the future.
The Counseling Office will review your request within 1-2 business days and let you know if you’re approved to schedule another appointment.
