2024-2025 FAFSA (for summer '24, fall '24, spring '25, and summer '25)
The 2024-2025 FAFSA is available online. Apply today to see if you are eligible for financial aid.
- Application Open: December 31, 2023*
- Priority Deadline for Cal Grant:
- April 2, 2024 (all CA students)
- September 2, 2024 (community college students only)
- Deadline: June 30, 2025
*Due to delayed release of 2045-2025 FAFSA by the Department of Education, the Financial Aid Office may not begin processing applications until late spring or early summer.
Submit the FAFSA -
The 2024-2025 California Dream Act Application is available online. If you are an undocumented student who qualifies for AB540, apply to see if you are eligible for grants funded by the State of California.

- Deadline for CA Promise Grant: June 30, 2025
DREAMers must complete the CA Dream Act Application by September 2 to qualify for the Cal Grant. Applications completed after September 2 will still be considered for California College Promise Grant eligibility.

To apply for the California Promise Grant you must submit the following application by the following deadlines:
- 2024-2025 FAFSA: June 30, 2025
- 2024-2025 California Dream Act Application: June 30, 2025
- 2024-2025 Online California Promise Grant Application: June 30, 2025

To be considered for a 2024-2025 Cal Grant award, you must have completed both the (1) FAFSA or DREAM Act Application and (2) the GPA Verification form by April 2, 2024 or September 2, 2024. The Admissions and Records Office can help you with filling out the GPA Verification form or, in some cases, submit your GPA electronically.

Financial Aid Payment Schedule
For information regarding financial aid disbursements refer to the 2024-2025 Financial Aid Disbursement Calendar by going to the Financial Aid file on InSite. Please note that only students with complete files that have been sent an award notification may receive a disbursement.

Financial Aid Status Updates
All financial aid students are required to check their DVC student email account through InSite on a regular basis in order to receive notifications, file status updates, announcements, and further instructions from the Financial Aid Office.
