Students enrolled in the ECE degree or certificate programs are eligible to join an ECE Cohort, a group of students working together on the General Education requirements of the California Child Development Permit, the A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and pre-transfer requirements. The cohorts are supported with funding from First 5 Contra Costa and provide free tuition, textbooks and tutoring support to students in designated "ECE Cohort" sections of Math and English. The Cohort program also offers specialized advising, tutoring services and scholarship opportunities for students enrolled in other ECE and general education courses.
For more information about enrollment in the ECE Cohort services contact Sue Handy, 925-969-2393 or email shandy@dvc.edu.
