DVC students, faculty, and staff have access to many educational technologies to empower their online experience.

Technology loans are available for all students, faculty, and staff including calculators (graphing or scientific), Chromebooks, Headphones, Webcam, and Wi-Fi hotspots. Please fill out the student technology loan form and check out your technology from the DVC library.

DVC’s Technology Resource Hub contains a number of tutorials for educational technology use including Canvas, Zoom, Studio, and more. There are guides for basic technology skills including how to copy/paste, click and drag, take screenshots, and other helpful resources.

All DVC students and employees have access to Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook email and Microsoft tools like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and more. To access:
- Log into InSite.
- Click on the "Resources" tile.
- Click on "Free Microsoft Office" tab

Zoom is a video conferencing tool that allows you to share your screen, browser, whiteboard, or apps in online meetings. All DVC students and employees have district-created accounts with Zoom (called TechConnect Zoom within Canvas).

NetTutor® offers free online tutoring during nights, weekends and holidays when DVC student centers are closed. While we encourage using on-campus and online support through our student centers when available, NetTutor® provides an alternative option for students seeking tutoring outside of regular hours.

Adobe is a program that allows you to read pdfs, make accessible documents, digitally sign documents, or use Adobe's graphic design tools. For at home access:
- Visit the Adobe home page.
- Click "Sign in."
- Enter your long email address (ex. FirstInitialLastNameLast3digits@email.4cd.edu).
This will bring you to the Single Sign On page to log on with your InSite username and password.

Ally is an educational technology that supports accessibility and inclusion by allowing users to download course files in alternative formats such as audio, HTML, and electronic braille. Faculty can also use Ally to ensure course materials are accessible to all students. Review the Ally page within the Technology Resource Hub for additional help using Ally.

Studio is a video tool in Canvas that offers interactive opportunities between instructors and students. With Studio, you can create and caption videos. Review the Canvas Studio page within the Technology Resource Hub for additional help using Studio.
