Foster & Kinship Care Training Information & Schedules

DVC FKCE Training

DVC FKCE training includes RFA Pre-Service, continuing education and The Heritage Project. Although our target audience is primarily resource families, adoptive families and relative caregivers, our trainings and support groups are open to everyone in the community including families, friends, social workers, STRTP staff, and any professional who works with children.

Participants receive a certificate of completion following each training or support group. Training and support groups meet state and county RFA pre-service and annual training requirements.

DVC FKCE Trainings & Support Groups Are:

  • Open to the public
  • Free of charge
  • Free from recruitment
  • Updated regularly with current information and best practices
  • Facilitated by subject matter experts

**All participants must complete a Participant Information form. Information is used to maintain records of attendance and send certificates of completion. You only need to complete the form once, not for each training you attend.
