At DVC we offer you college credit during the spring semester of your senior year! Find out how to develop your skills to become a successful, fulfilled professional. Read on to learn about how we prepare you for a career path and transfer. 

This special program focuses on providing you the knowledge or tools to build:

• academic, professional confidence
• ability to overcome failures and doubts, and 
• relationships for college and career success

Program Structure

Spring in high school:

• DVC Career 101: College & Career Success II (1.5 unit) 
• Welcome and Orientation Event 

Summer blast:

• Internship
• DVC Work Experience Course (2 units) 
• Majors Exposed
• Early Connection to Learning Communities
• Staff Support

First year at DVC:

• Career Skills Development
• Internship Opportunities
• Staff Support
• Industry Visits

Second year at DVC:

• Transfer Opportunities
• Career Exploration
• Internship Opportunities
• Staff Support

Eligibilty

• A senior or mid-year graduate from one of the following high schools: Concord, Mt. Diablo, Olympic, or Ygnacio Valley 
• Committed to going to school full-time at DVC, and  
• Able to commit to program expectations.

Ideal candidate

• First in their family to go to college
• Curious about where DVC can take them
• Still deciding on what to do with their future
• Not sure if they can afford college
• Passionate about giving back to their community
