The ECE Student Resources Program, with funding from DVC Workforce Development and the Child Development Training Consortium, provides academic and financial support to ECE students.

The ECE Certificate and Degree Program Student Handbook outlines all the requirements and suggested steps to accomplish your goals. Printed copies are available outside the Student Resources office or can be mailed or emailed by contacting our office.

The Child Development Permit Matrix lists the educational and experience requirements to receive all levels of the Child Development Permit from the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Application forms, assistance and fee stipends are available by emailing the ECE Student Resources office at mrios@dvc.edu.

Academic support services include ESL Assistance, an ECE/ESL Learning Community (Project ACCESS), individual advising to meet program and employment requirements, Child Development Permit application assistance, tuition stipends and ECE textbook loans.
Applications for all services are available by contacting the ECE Student Resources office and by submitting an ECE Service Request.

The ECE Student Resources Office is in room 159, on the ground level of the Faculty Office Building (FO) next to the LA Classroom building. Staff can be reached by phone at 925-969-2392 and email at mrios@dvc.edu. Program information handouts and application forms are available in display boxes outside the office door.

Students employed in any licensed/license-exempt childcare program for children aged 0-12 can apply for a tuition stipend from our Child Development Training Consortium grant. Information is distributed at the beginning of each term in ECE classes. Application info is available at the ECE Student Resources office and www.childdevelopment.org.
