If you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you qualify for aid such as grants, work-study, or loans.
If you are an undocumented student, who qualifies for AB-540 status, you should complete the California Dream Act Application to see if you are eligible for grants.
If you are interested in a DVC scholarship, you will need to complete the DVC Online Scholarship Application during the application filing period. There are also external (non-DVC) scholarship opportunities that you can apply for, if you qualify. Almost every external scholarship will require its own application.
Work-study is a great option for students looking for additional ways to help pay for college. You can find out if you qualify by completing the FAFSA and following up with the DVC Financial Aid Office through a drop-in appointment.
All financial aid students are required to check their DVC student email account through InSite on a regular basis in order to receive notifications, file status updates, announcements, and further instructions from the Financial Aid Office.
