Kelvyn Moran (he/him) is the Department Chair of English and a tenured professor of English as a Second Language (ESL). Kelvyn has been teaching English composition and ESL courses for over a decade. Kelvyn holds a BA in English, and an MA degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the California State University, Sacramento. And he recently completed his second graduate degree; he now has an MLIS (Masters of Library and Information Science) degree from the California State University, San Jose.
Kelvyn has been teaching at DVC for nearly a decade and has coordinated the ESL program and the English Learning Center. Kelvyn attributes his success to his English and ESL colleagues and to his students. Outside of his professional life, Kelvyn enjoys being active and spending time with his husband, sons, and family pets.
