Joann Denning holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California San Diego and a Master of Fine Art from UC Davis. She has an extensive professional background, having worked as a product photographer, art director, and graphic designer. Presently, she serves as the Department Chair for the art digital media program and film television electronic arts program.
Alongside these roles, Joann is currently the Senate representative for DVC Career Education, faculty lead for the Bay Area Regional Virtual Production Academy, and more recently, co-chair of the education special interest group for the Real Time Society.
Currently, her instructional focus lies in typography and graphic design. Her personal interests include hiking, savoring coffee, and indulging in movies.
