Catherine Walton-Woodson

Catherine Walton-Woodson is the Counseling Office Supervisor at Diablo Valley College, where she oversees the Counseling Front Office services and fosters student success initiatives.  

With over 30 years of experience in higher education, Ms. Walton-Woodson holds a supervisory role of the Classified Staff in the Counseling Office. She holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a bachelors degree in Psychology.

Ms. Walton-Woodson has served on several college committees; Program Review Committee, Safety Committee, Matriculation Committee, Information Technology Committee and on three Accreditation Committees (for the 2008 report Area IIIC the 2014 and the 2020 report for Area IIIB.

She has taught Counseling 105 Orientation to College and Counseling 150F – International Student Orientation.

Ms. Walton-Woodson has taken several academic and physical education classes at Diablo Valley College.  She was also a member of the DVC CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
