Students and allies, join DVC’s LGBTQIA+ learning community and find your home on campus!
What is Community of Pride?
The Community of Pride learning community offers a safe and supportive environment for queer and trans folks. Join us to take classes with queer-specific content and foster connections with like-minded peers and instructors.
How Does it Work?
In this learning community, we offer courses that are themed around issues of particular interest and importance to our community: identity, mental health, history, and activism. They also help you meet your general education requirements for degree and transfer, regardless of your major!
In addition to course work, there are extra supports built into the learning community, including field trips, social events, special guest speakers and workshops, access to additional counseling, and mentorship.
Community of Pride is open to anyone.
I've never been part of a queer community quite like this, where every instructor truly cares about the students they're working with. I've found that I have a place here on this campus where I can fit in and find support, both academically and mentally. — Anonymous Community of Pride student
