With a curriculum focused on storytelling and a team of award-winning faculty helping you to "be the media", DVC's journalism program is your pipeline into the professional media market.
We're proud to help you build career skills for:
- Writing accurate and compelling stories that get published and seen by local readers.
- Raising awareness around community and social injustices.
- Encouraging well-informed, meaningful civic engagement
Over the past 5 years, we have revitalized our program with new faculty and updated courses to keep up with the always changing media industry.
We have a proven track record of successfully placing our students in local media positions that kickstart their careers or assisting them with transfer pathways to higher education.
