Save the date for DVC's annual Transfer Day event. You will have exclusive access to learn from and chat live with 25+ UC, CSU, private, and out-of-state university representatives.

Preparing for Transfer Day

Transfer Day Prep Handout

  1. See who is attending and find out event details ahead of time.
  2. Make a list of the universities/colleges you would like to speak with and are interested in so you have a plan.
    • Make sure to budget time for each university rep, and to allow extra time for the “popular” schools.
    • Broaden your horizons and approach and talk to schools you’ve never thought about. You never know if it ends up being “the one” school you’ve been looking for!
    • For private universities, ask if they have need-based or merit-based scholarships. They might end up being more affordable than you think.
    • For out of state campuses, ask if they participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange for reduced tuition.
    • Bring a list of specific questions you have regarding the school to ask the representative so you don’t forget.

  5. Ask for the university representative’s contact information in case you have follow-up questions later on.
