2021-2026 Research and Planning Strategic Plan

Function of this Plan

This document outlines the goals and activities planned about research and planning at DVC for the next five years. It describes the work of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and of the Research, Planning, and Evaluation Committee (RPEC).

The 2018-2023 Educational Master Plan (EMP) articulates the college goal of creating the cultural and structural conditions which encourage equitable student success. The RPEC and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness are at the forefront of efforts to create a culture of “data- driven decision-making" and of “learning and continuous improvement” (EMP, page 15). Our goals are to encourage data-informed decisions, integration of planning efforts, and ongoing professional development for all employees in these areas.
