The Cal Grant is money for college that students do not need to pay back. Awards are based on grade point average (GPA) and other qualifications. Detailed information regarding the Cal Grant is available at the Financial Aid Office as well as on the California Student Aid Commission website.
The Admissions and Records Office automatically submits Cal Grant GPA verifications to the California Student Aid Commission if the student has only attended DVC and no other colleges. Students who have attended other colleges and/or attended DVC prior to 2000 must request a GPA verification from Admissions and Records by submitting the Cal Grant GPA form. Students will be provided with a pick-up schedule when the form is submitted. Completed verifications must be mailed by the student to the California Student Aid Commission.
