Dr. Kevin Horan

Dr. Kevin Horan, executive dean of the DVC San Ramon campus, has been named chair of the board of directors for the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce.

Horan, who has been the executive dean at SRC since July 2006, has served on the Chamber of Commerce throughout his time at SRC. He has served on a number of different Chamber committees, including the executive committee and the community awards event planning committee.

In his new position as chair, which he will hold for one year, Horan will be responsible for organizing the board so that the work load of the Chamber is distributed evenly among the Board of Directors.

“I will continue to build on the work that has been accomplished to date by both past and current Board members to increase the awareness of the Chamber within the San Ramon Valley business community,” Horan said. “Serving as Chair is an opportunity for Diablo Valley College to give back to the San Ramon Valley through volunteer leadership. 

In addition to his administrative duties at SRC, Horan also teaches part-time. He currently teaches two different outdoor recreation courses for CSU East Bay in their department of hospitality, recreation and tourism. He has also previously taught in the graduate counseling program at Saint Mary’s College.
