DVC Students Make Waves: Impressive Showcase at the National Chinese Expo of Student Works

From a pool of over 4000 K-16 students, six DVC students successfully advanced to final rounds of the National Chinese Expo of Student Works exhibition in November 2023. Notably, three creative works were chosen to be showcased and commented on during the live celebratory event on January 28, 2024.

In October 2022, seven students from Diablo Valley College entered the 2022 National Chinese EXPO of Student Works contest organized by the American Academy of International Culture and Education (AAICE), a non-profit organization formed by U.S. education experts and dedicated teachers.

DVC students excel at the 2021 CLTAC Chinese Speech Contest!

In March 2021, students from Diablo Valley College participated in the 45th Chinese Mandarin Speech Contest which was held virtually. The contest is hosted by The Chinese Language Teachers Association of California (CLTAC). CLTAC is the largest nonprofit association of its kind in the country with a mission to promote the study, teaching, and research of the Chinese language and culture on all educational levels. Its annual Mandarin Speech Contest boasts of a long history since 1960s.
