This high-intermediate course is designed for ESL students who need to improve their writing skills to prepare for college-level writing and who are ready to begin writing essays. Course work will include instruction in sentence, paragraph and essay structure; principles of grammar and mechanics;identification and correction or errors; voice-audience awareness; revising and editing techniques. Writing assignments will include paragraphs and short essays. Students will demonstrate their understanding of reading assignments through writing.
