| Note: TB clearance required for any laboratory work. Participation in Developmental Children's Center Laboratory School or approved off-campus mentor site from 3 to 6 hours per week is required for 2 or 3 units. One unit: lecture only. Two units: lecture plus three laboratory hours per week. Three units: lecture plus six laboratory hours per week. Required of parents whose children are enrolled in the Developmental Children's Center. | ||
| This topics class explores why children play, what they learn through play, and how toys facilitate play and broaden development. Controversies surrounding war toys, sex-typed toys, television and video games will be discussed. Includes study and experience with the individual child and child groups. Participation in the laboratory may be three hours per week for 2 units of credit or six hours per week for 3 units of credit. TB clearance is required for laboratory units. CSU | ||
