| Note: Only students who are accepted into the medical laboratory technology program (or accepted as an alternate) will be allowed to register for this course. | ||
| Introduces the relationships between the endocrine system and specimens assayed in the clinical laboratory, including tumor markers, therapeutic drugs, and toxicology. Emphasizes liver, kidney, pancreatic function and vitamins assayed with test results, and comparison with states of health and disease. Includes function and laboratory analysis of various body fluids. Introduces the endocrine system, therapeutic drug assays and compounds, and other clinical chemistry tests.
