The course introduces basic principles of mapping and representation of spatial data using conven- al and computerized cartographic techniques. Elements of map such as scale, distance, direction, and map projections as well as cartographic techniques of data analysis, pro- cessing, symbolization, and representation are examined in detail. This course is designed to develop a better understanding of maps and map- interpretation. CSU
