This course is a survey of the Native American cultures in that developed in North America. The course also explores the effects of European contact, conquest, colonization, United States expansion, acculturation, U.S. Government policies, wars and treaties, and reservation life of Native Americans, as well as the past and present roles of Native Americans in U.S. society.
