This is the second semester of a two-semester course that introduces the concepts of probability and statistics with requisite arithmetic and algebraic topics integrated throughout. It is intended for students in humanities or social sciences majors. Topics include sampling distributions, the Central Limit theorem, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for means and proportions, chi square tests and mathematical modeling. Learning strategies for success with an emphasis on study skills, resource acquisition, and maintaining a positive perspective towards learning are also discussed and applied. CSU
