| Architecture and urbanism of the modern world, from the 18th century to the present. Exploration of social, cultural, and physical conditions influencing the built environment of Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Course covers American architectural contributions of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Chicago School of Architecture, Art Nouveau and the work of Gaudi with in depth discussion of the influence of industrialization in architecture as well as topics in Russian Constructivism, 20th Century Modernism, Post-modernism and Deconstructivism.
