| This course helps students develop critical thinking and writing skills necessary to analyze, evaluate, and make decisions concerning complex contemporary issues in psychology. Topics include the principles of inductive and deductive reasoning, the philosophy of science, strengths and weaknesses of the scientific method, distinguishing knowledge from beliefs, and the examination of paradigms in psychology.
