| This topics course explores essential life skills, developed during childhood, that make a lifelong difference in our ability to learn, communicate, and cope with challenges. Drawing from research in child development and neuroscience, this course outlines practical ways people working with children can foster these skills in young children. One unit: lecture only. Two units: lecture plus three laboratory hours. Three units: lecture plus six laboratory hours. Required of parents whose children are enrolled in the Developmental Children's Center.
