Information Technology and Services


The mission of Information Technology & Services is to provide leadership and guidance, service and support, educational and technical expertise required to establish and maintain information technology systems for the college community in accordance with the values, vision, mission and goals of DVC.

The office of Information Technology and Services manages the following services and resources:

  • Computer and Network Services
    • Help Desk, Computer Center, Advanced Technology Center, WebCT Support, Network Support
    • Technology resources for faculty and staff
  • Media Services
    • Scheduling and Delivery, Special Events, Media Center, Television Studio, Audio Studio, Media Conference Room
  • Instructional Technology
    • Professional Development, Online Course Development
  • Web Services
    • Website support, Web Curriculum System, web-based applications (e.g. SARS TRAK, ID Card, etc.), web content training
  • Technology Purchasing
    • Computers and printers, servers and security solutions, network infrastructure and devices, software licenses

Strategic technology plans and special projects are recommended and reviewed by the Information Technology Committee (ITC), whose members represent a diverse cross-section of the campus community, including faculty, classified staff, administration, and students.
