Michael Walensky has been a faculty member at DVC since 1991. He earned a B.A. in English and French at the University of Chicago; an M.A. in Romance Languages; a Ph.D. at University of California, Berkeley in Italian and Latin with a dissertation on Italian Renaissance Drama and its Latin models. He has lived and traveled in Italy both on scholarships and on his own. Perhaps his greatest hobby is travel itself and he has been in much of the world with slides to prove it.
