Enrollment procedures for concurrently enrolled high school students
(Taking courses at DVC while still in high school)
All concurrently enrolled high school students must submit a completed Special Admission Recommendation Form signed by the high school principal, parent or guardian, and themselves. A current Application for Admission must also be completed. (Applications are valid for one academic year during which the student attends DVC).
High school students (juniors and seniors) who will be enrolled in both high school and DVC must submit both a completed Admission Application and a completed Special Admission Recommendation Form to the Admissions and Records Office. When these forms are received, the student must register for classes in person at their assigned registration appointment date and time (See current schedule of classes for calendar of important dates).
High school students (freshmen and sophomores) may be eligible to attend DVC if they can benefit from college level instruction. Students must submit a DVC Admissions Application and a Special Admission Recommendation Form after receiving the DVC Instructor's signature at the first class meeting. Bring completed forms to the Admissions and Records Office. High School Students below the 11th grade must wait for the first day of DVC instruction to register. The DVC instructor must sign their Special Admission Recommendation Form.
